"The 50 Paintings" Project

Painting # 10

A Peaceful Retreat by Thomas Kinkade

There are some visions which give us peace.
They have in them the mystical ability to lift the burdens from our shoulders like the mist rising up from the mountains.
They bring a sudden peace to the heart and we feel light, we feel rested.

Thomas Kinkade's paintings offer such a vision

Like this home with warmly lit windows - A resting Place for the heart
There is smoke coming out of the chimney . Maybe its the fireplace. Maybe someone is cooking a meal with love.

Whatever it may be, its a  dream worth holding onto , because that's where we go when we want to return to the  things that  matter the most.

Thomas Kinkade who was known as a "Painter of Light" was a realistic American  painter.

He died in 2012 at the age of 54 years but not before producing a vast collection of ethereal paintings for us to enjoy.

Thomas painted the kind of places where we would like to be.

If one is having a rough day , scrolling through a few of Thomas's paintings is enough to bring peace and calm to the mind.
Good idea to dedicate a folder on our laptop to a few images of his paintings and just scroll through them sometimes

Or maybe just have a look at this one :)

Coming up next Painting # 11... Thank you for stopping by :)
LOVE
