Came across one such card and could'nt resist painting it on canvas.

The Proposition by Judith Leyster 

Another one of the few great woman painters Judith Leyster was a Dutch painter.

The above oil painting was done in 1631 making it almost 386 years old...

Like Norman Rockwell she too painted scenes of everyday people doing routine things.

Worth noticing the details on the foot warmer kept on the floor. Few specks of cadmium orange and yellow seem to give the effect of heat in a dark background. But how easy to miss it too. :)

Poppies by Claude Monet 

Presently displayed at a museum in Paris, this 144 years old oil painting 

was painted by Claude Monet in 1873 .

'Poppies' or "Poppy Field" is a scene of the French Countryside where Monet lived and painted. 

Woman and child in the painting are Monet's wife Camille and son Jean. 

It is also assumed sometimes that even the child and the woman pair in the front are the same as the ones in the background.

Above is my small effort to copy the grand master :) done about 10 years back.
