Thank you , Bravehearts

My Gratitude note starts with an apology to you.   In all the fuss over what our on screen hero said I forgot to think about and thank our real Heroes. Even today the whatsapp traffic was about light jokes, political opinions and cute good morning presentations. Thank fully one stray message about that fateful day reminded me what date it was today.

It was a day when you fought for the lives of your countrymen as we sat on our sofa and watched on tv the latest update.
It was a day when your wife and children continuously prayed for you to return home safely as we took a break for lunch.
It was a day when while facing the bullets  you must have wondered whether you will die before making that last call to your family as we chatted with our friends on phone about the happenings.

More than anything it was a day when you laid down your life for your country and people but not before saving a few lives.

We cannot thank you enough and the nation remains indebted to your equally brave families...for they shall live the rest of their lives without you as the rest of us go on as usual with our daily routines having tucked away those tragic events along with that day's newspaper.

A Sunny Day

All days are not sunny. All days are not rainy either.
And  the weather is so not in our control.

So don't wait for a sunny day ..Just go out and spread your own sunshine..

And be a Rainbow in someone's cloud !

The Dragonfly Dimension

A Dragonfly floats through space..not fluttering restlessly but gliding peacefully..staying a few feet above the ground...as if to be in touch with the reality of the material world but yet gliding past it in a peacefully detached manner.....

..................Its of the world but yet  connected to the spiritual in an effortless way.... Gliding through the space with no fixed agenda unlike the butterfly and sometimes just  going with the flow of the wind .

Seeing a butterfly flutter past brings an instant smile to our face and gives us joy....

......but seeing a dragonfly floating through space brings a strange kind of peace as we let  our eyes follow its translucent winged flight...

And as we let our gaze follow its peaceful gliding it quietly lifts us and take us along with it to the Dragonfly Dimension....

When I am alone I can become invisible. I can sit on top of a dune as motionless as an uprise of weeds, until the foxes run by unconcerned. I can hear the almost unhearable sound of the roses singing.

Have you found your angel today...

Angels Exist . They do.  You just have to be open to receiving them. How do you do that? Just decide that you want to believe in them and tell them to give you signs which indicate their presence....Then just be ready for all the fun.... be ready for all the different ways they will tell you they are there. And when I say be ready ...really be ready because they will go all overboard to befriend you ! 

 Just want to tell you I am here

To help you through your day

You just have to call me

then do exactly as I say

For I know your deepest feelings

And I feel your gravest pain

You just have to leave it to me

And not ever worry again

The day you connect with me, your angel

You will know it without a doubt

You will smile for no reason 

And be happy inside out.

Good Morning!

When the world is at odds

And the mind is all at sea

Then cease the useless tedium; 

And brew a cup of tea

There is magic in its fragrance

There is solace in its taste

And the laden moments vanish 

Somehow into space

The world becomes a lovely thing;

There is beauty as you''ll see

All because you briefly stopped 

To brew a cup of tea !

This poem is so lovely and it inspired me to 'brew a cup of tea " immediately :) 

And that cup of tea inspired me to paint this !

Who was it who said : "You don''t have to travel the world to find inspiration ( though thats not a bad idea at all if your pocket and time permit it :) ...Even little things can inspire you to do something big!

Oh what a lovely shade of green !

Here they are again! Right on time. :)  Of late they have become quite regular visitors.  And now they are'nt even scared.....No matter what's going on in the kitchen they just keep at it...And must say they have become noisier though...but I like it....Can't say the same about the sparrows though who have been forced to make do with the crumbs that have fallen down...:) Guess more bird feeders are needed around the house now :)

The green I have used is Pthalo Blue with Cad Yellow :)

A New Day

A New Day...Happy Morning...Sunshine...A Cup of tea......these words always make you cheery ..or give us something to look forward to ...

I have a balcony seat reserved for a daily performance on my terrace...Show timing - 6:30 am to 7:00 am ..:) .... Its a different show everyday and "no ..repeat..performances" :) So I try not to miss it...

Today's was exceptionally brilliant so I just had to share it with you...Hope you like it.

Yesterday was very warm..the warmest day in the last 43 years ! So here comes Mother Nature with a skyfull of clouds ! The sun did manage to sneak a peak though:)
